Every forest begins with a single tree.
Sorellendipity Farms is being built with future generations in mind. Thousands of trees are being planted across the property to create wildlife habitat, natural beauty, privacy, and places for future memories.
Every batch carries a name. Every name carries a story. These trees will grow through seasons we haven't yet lived, offering shade to children not yet born, and remembering those who made this possible.
Seeds acquired from San Juan, Lincoln, and Carson National Forests. First stratification begins. The Arvada greenhouse comes to life.
First seedlings transplanted to Pine, Colorado. The mountain staging yard is established. The first grove takes shape.
Trees transition to their permanent home at the future farm. Field planting begins. Five hundred trees in the ground.
Wildlife habitat expanding. The first choose-and-cut trees approaching harvestable height. The forest begins to look like a forest.
Shade canopy beginning to form. The Bristlecone and Blue Spruce stand as landmarks. Seasonal enchantments begin at the farm.
Mature forest sections throughout the property. The trees named for Jax, Aurelia, Georgios, Mia, and Scrappy stand tall. The magic is fully grown.
Each batch of trees carries a name and a story. These are the souls — human and canine — whose spirits are woven into this forest.
Named for Grayson "Jax" — a boy always one step ahead, always asking questions. Like the Rocky Mountain Douglas Fir, he is adaptable, curious, and destined to grow wherever life plants him.
Explore This BatchNamed for Raegan "Aurelia" — a mountain princess, fiercely independent and beautifully herself. Bristlecone Pines are among the toughest trees on Earth, thriving where others cannot. Like her.
Explore This BatchNamed for Ezekiel "Georgios" — boundless energy, strength, and heart. The Southwestern White Pine carries confidence and perseverance, growing tall and loyal in every condition it meets.
Explore This BatchNamed for Mia — a German Shepherd who offered quiet comfort and unwavering loyalty. The Concolor Fir carries her softness: gentle blue-green needles, a citrus fragrance, and a grace that asks nothing in return.
Explore This BatchNamed for Scrappy Doo — a gentle giant whose personality left an unforgettable mark on everyone he met. Colorado Blue Spruce is the anchor of this forest, the most iconic tree in the Rockies, and the one people will always remember.
Explore This BatchNew batches will be added as the forest grows. Each one a new chapter.
A living record of the farm's growth — seasons, milestones, observations, and the quiet work of growing a forest from seed.
2,300 seeds arrived from Sheffield's Seed Company: Colorado Blue Spruce from San Juan National Forest (2025 crop, 91% germination), Concolor Fir from San Juan (2024, 61%), Rocky Mountain Douglas Fir from San Juan (2024, 98%), Southwestern White Pine from Lincoln National Forest, NM (2024, 98%), and Bristlecone Pine from Carson National Forest, NM (2022, 97%). All seeds collected from 6,500–10,000 ft elevation, matched to our Pine, CO property.
Concolor Fir begins 60-day cold stratification in moist perlite bags in the refrigerator. Douglas Fir follows at 30 days. Blue Spruce, Southwestern White Pine, and Bristlecone Pine require only a 24-hour water soak before sowing — a reminder that fresh seed from good provenance needs little coaxing. The garage grow station is being assembled: full-spectrum LED lights, heat mats, fans, a thermometer keeping vigil through the Colorado nights.
This entry will be written when the first seedling emerges. Check back — or join our list to be notified when the forest begins to grow.
Couples and families may one day be able to plant a tree to commemorate a wedding, anniversary, birth, or meaningful milestone — then return over the years to watch it grow. A living monument to the moments that matter most.
